The SNiP-SI4 is a 'Sensor Node Integrated Package' for LoRaWAN or CAT-M1 communication of real-time road surface temperature measurements for continuous urban and industrial monitoring.
The SNiP-SI4 integrates 1x MFR-NODE with 1x SI-4HR Infrared Radiometer (from the SI-400 Series) to a site’s unique network, communication and power requirements.
Apogee’s new SI-4HR-SS road weather infrared radiometer is developed for road weather networks specifically, to measure roads 6m wide when mounted 3.5m high, 7m back and at a downward angle of 70°. The elongated external shield is designed to better protect from snow and ice building up on the sensor.

Additional parameters can be added to SNiP-SI4, without requiring loggers to match each distinct sensor, substantially reducing the cost of getting a fuller picture on the application.
